Reservations
The Reservations screen is your booking book for the day. Take a reservation when a guest calls, then seat the party when they arrive — or mark the booking cancelled or a no-show. Open Reservations from the Sales menu.
Reservations are part of the Restaurant add-on. If you don’t see Reservations in your Sales menu, it isn’t on your plan — see The Restaurant add-on. Using it needs the Sell permission.
Pick the day
Section titled “Pick the day”The list opens on today in your store’s time zone. Change the Day to look ahead or back — the list shows that day’s bookings from midnight to midnight, earliest first, and stays on the day you picked.
Each booking shows its Time (on your store’s clock), Party size, Guest name and phone, Table, and Status.
Take a booking
Section titled “Take a booking”- Press New booking.
- Set the Date and Time, and the Party size (1 to 100).
- Add the Guest name and Guest phone if you have them — both are optional. Enter the full phone number, including the area code.
- Pick a Table (optional), or leave it on No table to seat them wherever is free on the night.
- Press Book.
Book stays greyed out until the date, time and party size are filled in.
A booking holds its table for 90 minutes. When you choose a table, any table already booked within 90 minutes of your time is greyed out and marked booked, so you can’t double-book it. If a clash still slips through — say a late booking just before midnight against one just after — you’ll see That table already has a booking near this time; pick another table or time.
Seat, cancel or no-show
Section titled “Seat, cancel or no-show”A new booking starts as Booked. When it resolves, press one of the buttons on its row:
- Seat — the party has arrived. The booking becomes Seated.
- Cancel — the guest called it off. The booking becomes Cancelled.
- No-show — the party didn’t turn up. The booking becomes No-show.
Each takes effect straight away, with no confirmation step, and it’s final — a seated, cancelled or no-show booking can’t be changed back. Once a booking is any of the three, its table is free to book again.
Seating a party here records the booking as seated. To start their bill, open a tab on their table from the Floor view.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The list doesn’t refresh on its own; it updates after each booking or change you make. Reload the page to pick up bookings someone else has taken.
- If someone else changed the same booking at the same moment, you’ll see Someone else changed this just now. The latest version loads for you — check it, then try again.
