Map your stores to locations
Loyverse keeps your sales and stock under a store. Swann Retail keeps them under a location. Mapping joins the two: you tell Swann Retail which location each Loyverse store belongs to, so synced sales and stock counts land in the right place.
A store doesn’t sync until it’s mapped. A store you leave unmapped is ignored — none of its sales or stock come across — so map every store you want to sync. Managing the connection is owner-only.
Why it matters
Section titled “Why it matters”The mapping decides which stores sync and where their stock lands:
- Stock levels from a Loyverse store update the stock at its mapped location.
- Sales come across for every mapped store — an unmapped store’s sales are skipped entirely. Imported sales aren’t split up by location, though, so if you run more than one store they come across together rather than filed separately per location.
If you run a single store, you’ll map your one store to your one location and that’s it. If you run more than one, each store points at its own location — so each store’s stock stays separate.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Connect Loyverse first. Mapping lives on the connection page, and the stores you map are the live stores on your Loyverse account — see Connect your Loyverse account.
- Have a location to map onto. You map stores onto your existing Swann locations, so add the ones you need first under Locations. If you have no locations yet, the page tells you to add one before you can map.
Map a store
Section titled “Map a store”- Go to Settings → Loyverse sync and find Store mapping. It lists every store on your Loyverse account, one row each.
- For each store, pick the Swann location it belongs to from the dropdown.
- Choose Save mappings.
Leave a store on — Not mapped — if you don’t want it to sync.
Change or clear a mapping
Section titled “Change or clear a mapping”Come back to Store mapping any time:
- Point a store somewhere else — pick a different location and save.
- Stop a store syncing — set it back to — Not mapped — and save. From then on that store is ignored until you map it again.
One location per store
Section titled “One location per store”Each Swann location can be mapped to only one Loyverse store — two stores can’t both feed the same location, or their sales and stock would pile up together. If you pick a location that’s already used, Swann Retail flags it and won’t let you save until each location is used at most once.
If a save is rejected
Section titled “If a save is rejected”Saving is all or nothing. If any row in the set is invalid — an unknown store or location, or a location used twice — the whole save is rejected and nothing is changed. Your previous mappings stay exactly as they were. Fix the row Swann Retail points to and save again.
If Loyverse can’t be reached
Section titled “If Loyverse can’t be reached”Saving checks your stores against Loyverse as it goes. If Loyverse can’t be reached at that moment, the save is declined with a clear message and nothing is changed — it isn’t an error with your mappings. Wait a moment and try again.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”Once your stores are mapped, the one-time import and ongoing sync know where each store’s data belongs. See What syncs, and how often for what flows and when.
