Your reports

Reports turn your sales and stock into figures you can act on. Open Reports from the menu to land on the overview — a grid of cards, one per report (except Low stock, which you open straight from the Reports menu). Pick a card, or use the Reports menu, to open a report.

Most reports cover a date range you set with the range bar at the top: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This month, or a Custom from/to. The range you pick stays put as you move between reports, so you can compare the same period across them. It defaults to Today.

Days are counted in your store’s timezone (set in Settings), so “today” means your store’s today, wherever you happen to be looking from.

Report What it shows
Summary Net sales, gross sales, discounts, returns, VAT collected, order count, and average order value for the range.
Top items Your best-selling variants, ranked by quantity or by net revenue (toggle).
Categories Sales totalled by item category (anything without one shows as Uncategorized).
COGS Cost of goods sold per item, netted of returns, with a total.
Inventory change Stock movement over the range, grouped by reason (received, sold, returned, damaged, theft, correction, Loyverse sync, stocktake…) and valued at cost.
Inventory valuation Your current on-hand quantity, valued at cost. This is a live snapshot — it ignores the date range.
Accounting feed A balanced double-entry journal — the shape of the accounting export, marked Balanced or Unbalanced.
Low stock Tracked items at or below their low-stock threshold; open one to restock it.
Till history Every till you’ve closed, newest first, with its Z-report to view or print again — see Re-open a past Z-report.
Table turns Restaurants only: how long a dine-in table stays taken — the average, median and slowest turns, by night, by table and by section.
Server sales Restaurants only: completed sales credited to each server, ranked by gross sales, with their tips and average order.

Deposits held is the customer money your store is holding on part-paid orders — deposits taken on custom jobs that haven’t been collected yet. It isn’t a card on the overview; it sits at the top of Sales → Balance owing, above the list, and on the owner dashboard on the tablet.

It shows three figures for every open deposit, not just the ones you’ve scrolled to:

  • Open deposits — how many part-paid orders are still waiting to be paid off.
  • Deposits held — the total your customers have paid you so far on those orders.
  • Still owed — the total they still have to pay you when they collect.

It’s worked out as of today, in your store’s timezone, and it always covers the whole list — even when you have more open deposits than fit on one screen. Deposits held is money you’re holding for customers, not sales: you either work it off by finishing the job or give it back if the order is canceled. See Deposits & balances for taking, collecting and refunding a deposit.

Like the other reports, it needs the View reports permission — without it, the Balance owing list still shows, but the totals above it don’t.

  • Most reports are read on-screen. The detailed reports — COGS, inventory change, and the accounting feed — have a Download button that saves that report’s figures as a data file; the simpler summary reports don’t, and there’s no spreadsheet/CSV export yet.
  • Inventory valuation is “right now” — unlike the other reports, it shows current stock, not a past date.
  • Deleted items with no stock aren’t listed in Inventory valuation. A deleted item that still has stock on hand (or a negative count) stays in the report, because that stock is still worth something.
  • How costs are valued. COGS values each sold item at its cost at the time of the sale — frozen, so editing an item’s cost later never rewrites a past sale’s COGS. The inventory reports (valuation and change) value stock at its current, built-up cost instead. Items sold as open or custom-priced lines have no cost and are left out of COGS.
  • The accounting feed is an export shape, not a live link — it’s the journal you’d hand an accountant; it isn’t a live connection to accounting software.
  • Table turns time each completed dine-in seating from when its tab was opened to when it was settled. One tab left open by mistake can pull the Avg turn up a long way, so the Median turn is the steadier figure; P90 turn is the time 90% of turns finish within.
  • Server sales credits each completed order to the staff member who rang it. Its Gross sales already include Tips, so don’t add the two together. Sales with no server on them — older or imported sales — are counted on their own line, not in the totals. Table turns and Server sales come with the Restaurant add-on.
  • Moving from Loyverse? Your totals here can legitimately differ from Loyverse for a few reasons — see Why your reports can differ from Loyverse.

Reports need the View reports permission — without it, the reports are hidden from the menu.
