Importing past sales

Bringing your sales across

When you connect, Swann Retail can also bring your past sales across from Loyverse — each receipt becomes a backdated order, so your reports and customer history reach back to where you started in Loyverse. This runs as part of the first import, after your catalog, customers and stock.

This is a one-time backfill of the sales you’d already rung before you connected. From the moment you’re connected, new Loyverse sales keep coming across on their own — on the ongoing two-way sync, within a couple of minutes each (What syncs, and how often) — so you never re-import those. This page is about reaching further back.

The 31-day limit

On Loyverse’s standard plan, the connection only lets apps read the last 31 days of sales. Older receipts sit behind Loyverse’s Unlimited sales history add-on. So unless you upgrade first, the import brings in only the last 31 days of sales — your catalog, customers and stock still come across in full.

When this happens, Settings → Loyverse sync shows a note that older sales weren’t imported, with the steps below.

Bringing in your full history

To import everything, turn Unlimited sales history on in Loyverse just long enough to run the import:

1. In Loyverse, open Back Office → Settings → Billing & subscriptions and start Unlimited sales history. It has a 14-day free trial and doesn’t ask for a card.
2. Back in Swann Retail, open Settings → Loyverse sync and choose Re-import history. Swann Retail pulls the receipts that were out of reach before — it skips sales it already has, so nothing is duplicated.
3. Once the import finishes, you can cancel the Loyverse add-on. The sales already imported stay in Swann Retail.

It’s best to do this before you start using Swann Retail day to day, so your full history is in place from the start.

Good to know

• Only your history is affected. Catalog, customers and stock import in full no matter which Loyverse plan you’re on.
• The import is safe to re-run. It picks up where it left off and never duplicates a sale you already have — see Importing your data.
• This load is a one-time backfill of older history, separate from the ongoing sync that keeps new Loyverse sales current on its own. Either way, day-to-day sales you ring up in Swann Retail aren’t sent back to Loyverse (What syncs, and how often).
